Murex Engineer - Java application management (5-7 yrs)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Murex Environment Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management and maintenance of our Murex environments, spanning development, testing, and production. You will play a crucial role in ensuring system stability, implementing automation strategies, optimizing performance, and maintaining robust security. This position requires a strong technical background in Linux administration, Java application management, scheduling tools (preferably Control-M), scripting, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities :

Murex Environment Management :

- Manage and maintain Murex environments across development, testing, and production, ensuring optimal performance and availability.

- Perform installations, upgrades, and patching of Murex systems.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Murex applications and infrastructure.

System Stability and Performance :

- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.

- Implement performance optimization strategies to ensure efficient system operation.

- Maintain high system availability and reliability.

Automation and Scripting :

- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell Scripting and Python to streamline environment management tasks.

- Automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes.

Scheduling and Job Management :

- Utilize Control-M (or other scheduling tools) to manage and monitor batch processes and job schedules.

- Ensure timely and accurate execution of scheduled tasks.

Linux Administration :

- Perform Linux system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings.

Java Application Management :

- Manage and troubleshoot Java applications within the Murex environment.

- Monitor Java application performance and optimize resource utilization.

Cloud Services (AWS) :

- Utilize AWS cloud services for infrastructure management and deployment.

- Implement and manage cloud-based Murex environments.

Database and Networking :

- Perform basic SQL queries for troubleshooting and data analysis.

- Possess basic networking skills for troubleshooting network connectivity issues.

Security :

- Implement and maintain security best practices for Murex environments.

- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience in managing and maintaining Murex environments.

- Strong expertise in Linux administration.

- Proficiency in Java application management.

- Experience with Control-M or other scheduling tools.

- Strong scripting skills in Shell Scripting and Python.

- Experience with AWS cloud services.

- Basic knowledge of SQL and networking.
