Position Overview
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for appointing Super Stockists, Dealers, and building strong sales teams to establish and expand our distribution network in the assigned region. The ideal candidate will possess experience in FMCG/General Trade/Modern Trade (Pharmacy) sales and have a proven track record of achieving substantial sales targets
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, appoint, and manage Super Stockists and Dealers to ensure effective distribution.
- Establish and monitor distribution channels in General Trade, Modern Trade, and Pharmacy networks.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a high-performing sales team to drive product sales.
- Monitor team performance and provide necessary guidance to meet targets.
- Drive monthly sales targets of INR 1 Crore in the assigned region.
- Develop and execute region-specific sales strategies to maximize product penetration and revenue growth.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in the trade (Distributors, Retailers, Modern Trade Chains).
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, competitor activities, and emerging trends.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, market feedback, and performance analysis to management.
- Monitor sales KPIs and ensure timely corrective actions.
Key Requirements:
- Proven ability to appoint Super Stockists and Dealers.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Data-driven approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or related fields and MBA is a plus.
Location Flexibility: Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
Target Orientation: Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets.
