As the Head - development office, the incumbent would bring inspiring leadership, drive and creativity to reach ambitious fundraising goals for the group's mission, with an eye to achieving deep community impact and bring forward an excellent narrative for Indian Arts through the platform.
Key Relationships:
- Internal: Patrons, Board , Top Management
- External: Donors, Partners, Community at Large, Regulatory amongst others
Fundraising Strategy and Stewardship:
- Lead the development of long-term strategy to achieve agreed long term fundraising goals as charted by the senior most management or the board.
- Take ownership of the growth of the development office and fund utilization in the utmost compliant way, reporting to the senior most management or the board on progress against fundraising targets and the utilization of funds.
- Generate new ideas that increases revenue and donor loyalty, while continuously identifying new prospective donors and maintain long-term relationships with existing donors.
Strategic Communication & Stakeholder engagement:
- Ability to engage diplomatically with and engender the trust of donors, colleagues, board members and other stakeholders at all times.
- Drive, manage and influence multiple stakeholders across the external and internal ecosystem keeping the focus alive on strategic objectives and guiding operational excellence in execution of the same.
Planning, Processes and Execution:
- Manage systems to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including the donor database and wealth screening tools.
- Oversee the progress of implementation of the program as per the MoU agreed upon with the respective donors in terms of deliverables.
Institution building and growth charter:
- Motivate, supervise, evaluate and mentor development staff.
- Create a supportive, collaborative, productive and healthy work environment based on respect, teamwork and clear expectations and responsibilities.
- Help identify and on-board well qualified fund raising personnel.
- Help identify and on-board well qualified fund-raising personnel.
- Ready the Museum for future campaigns.
- Leverage the strategy fund-raising organization's brand for charity/business development.
