Key Responsibilities:
Financial Statement Preparation:
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
- Ensure that all financial reports accurately reflect the company's financial position and results of operations.
- Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities or subsidiaries.
Internal and External Reporting:
- Manage internal reporting processes and provide detailed financial analysis to senior management.
- Coordinate the preparation and filing of external financial reports, including SEC filings (if applicable), tax returns, and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports for Board meetings and executive presentations, ensuring that financial information is clear and actionable.
Compliance and Controls:
- Ensure that all financial reporting practices are in compliance with accounting principles, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain internal controls over financial reporting and work to continuously improve financial processes.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure successful completion of audit processes.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in the financial reporting process to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in the implementation of new financial reporting systems or tools, as required.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of financial reporting professionals.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to junior staff and ensure continuous professional development.
Ad hoc Reporting & Analysis:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Support ad hoc financial reporting requests from management or departments.
- Provide analysis on financial trends, variances, and projections as needed for business decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
Education: CA
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Excel).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
