Job Description
- Overseeing and thorough review of the indirect tax returns, such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, on a monthly basis.
- Managing the filing of direct tax returns and payments, including TDS.
- Coordinating and overseeing tax audits, addressing inquiries, and responding to notices from tax authorities.
- Preparing tax audit workings as required and liaising with auditors.
- Preparing complex income tax computations and assisting consultants in filing them.
- Preparing data for the semi-annual filing of MSME returns.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records related to tax filings, provisions, and other tax-related activities.
- Staying informed about updates to Indian tax laws and regulations, while proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
- Developing and maintaining tax plans, compliance procedures, and risk assessment frameworks to ensure effective tax management.
- Collaborating with finance and accounting teams to ensure tax strategies and policies are implemented correctly in line with national tax compliance.
- Identifying, tracking, and reporting potential financial risks, and working closely with accounting teams to implement suitable solutions.
