Workshop Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Planning , executing and monitoring of all ongoing projects within the workshop

2. Creating report on Workloads

3. Maintaining appropriate levels of inventory and stocks , working effectively with Purchasing team

4. Adhering to all relevant statutory compliances at all times .

5. Establishing & Maintaining comprehensive Health and Safety processes and training for all workers and staff

6. Ensuring optimal productivity levels are maintained in accordance with work schedules

7. Providing well researched guidance to Management regarding purchase of Instruments and Equipment

8. Ensuring maintenance of all Machines in the Workshop to have minimal downtime

9. Ensuring excellent customer relationships through making customer visits , effectively handling customer visits at the workshop and all customer communication

10. Ensuring all workers and staff at the workshop receive adequate training from time to time for good performance

11. Conducting field visits for field service support

Preferred candidate profile

Engineer with minimum 20 years experience in Service of Electrical Rotating Machines

Skills:

• Experience in working with ERP & CRM tools
• Experience in creation and leading Service Teams Deep Knowledge of parts, materials, tools & tackles, instruments used for Repairing / Rewinding / Service of Electrical Rotating Machines such as AC - LT Motors & HT Motors, Alternators, DC Motors.
• Trouble Shooting and Fault Diagnosis of Electrical Rotating Machines
• Data Analytics and Management
• Good Knowledge of Machine Shop i.e., Welding, Fabrication, Lath Machine, Drilling, Welding etc.
• Good Experience with Machining, fitting techniques, fabrication, electrical and mechanical maintenance
