Safety Officer

Duties &Responsibilities:

• Ensurethat Corporate EHS policy objectives are met.
  
• Ensurethat guidelines issued by HO \u2013 EHS are implemented.
  
• PrepareCorrective and Preventive action plan to comply with audit points. Also, ensure Implementation of Corrective and Preventive action plan.
  
• Take leadin forming EHS committee.
  
• Takelead in conducting EHS committee meetings.
  
• Ensurereduction objectives with respect to water, energy, GHG, waste & accidentare met.
  
• Carryout mock drills with respect to all emergencies as mentioned in OnsiteEmergency Plan.
  
• Carryout training as per annual training plan.
  
• Implementationof EHS suggestion scheme and ensure that valid EHS suggestions are met.
  
• Periodicalupdating of Register of Legislation & Register of Regulation.
  
• Ensurecompliance with respect to all legislations & regulations.
  
• Carryout plant safety inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
  
• Carryout surprise PPE audits to ensure the usage of PPE\u2019s.
  
• Ensurethat Safe Operating Procedure\u2019s (SOP) are followed.
  
• Carryout risk assessment and prepare mitigation plan to mitigate risks & hazardsidentified during the audit.
  
• Carryimpact and aspect study to identify adverse effects on the environment by ouroperations and prepare mitigation plant to mitigate negative impacts on theenvironment.
  
• Ensure that machine guards are in place and it isnot bypassed.
  
• Toensure that conditions prescribed in work permit are met.
