Team Lead/Senior Consultant-DBA

The Team Lead designs, installs, maintains and performance tunes production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. The Team Lead interacts with technical administration as expert-level problem solver and develops job skills and knowledge to introduce new techniques and technologies within the company and to perform assignments of increasing complexity. Team Lead is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software. Team Lead is also responsible for coordinating all project efforts needed to successfully implement the applications.

Responsibilities

• Understand the values and vision of the organization and align the activities accordingly
• Protect the Intellectual Property
• Adhere to all the policies and procedures
• Work with other line functions to collect or provide relevant data
• Establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and security
• Mapping out the conceptual design for a planned database
• Considering both back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-users
• Refining the logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model
• Further defining the physical design to meet system storage requirements
• Installing and testing new versions of the DBMS
• Maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
• Writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
• Controlling access permissions and privileges, developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans, capacity planning
• Ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
• Working closely with IT project managers, database programmers and multimedia programmers
• Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
• Work closely with management in various processes / projects to ensure communication and smooth implementation

Essential Skills

Job

• Excellent written and verbal communication, coding skills are essential
• Must be proficient in customer relationship management
• Admin & Process Owner on Oracle EBS (11i, 12.1, 12.2), Oracle Databases (11g, 12c, 19c, 21c), SQL Server Databases, Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c. APEX and Weblogic are a plus.
