Power BI/ Power App Specialist

Job Description :

Dow has an opportunity for a Power BI/ Power App Specialist to join the Enterprise Data and Analytics group (organized in Information Technology) located in Mumbai (IND). This role will provide technical and operational support for PowerBI Visualization projects and solutions within the Analytics and AI Hub tower. You will be working with others on the team leveraging PowerBI, Visualization BW /BEX projects to support Dow's reporting and visualization needs. You will also work developing Power Apps to integrate analytics solutions in different work processes. You will collaborate with other teams, stakeholders, and customers to deliver high-quality and innovative dashboard and/or power Apps. Development skills on BW, Java Querry, HTML, PowerBI, Power Apps is important to keep up with current and upcoming needs in the organization.

Responsibilities :

- Develop, design, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI.

- Utilize SAP BW and BEx tools to extract and transform data into actionable insights.

- Implement and manage Java-based queries for data extraction and processing.

- Develop and Deploy application on Power Apps to streamline business processes, enhance productivity and provide user friendly interface for end users.

- Ensure seamless integration of Power Apps with other business platforms, including SAP, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and other third-party systems, to facilitate end-to-end process automation.

- Keep current with updates and best practices in Microsoft's Power Platform, exploring new features and functionalities to apply cutting-edge solutions to the organization's processes. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and interactive data visualizations.

- Integrate visualizations into web and mobile applications using front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

- Design and develop power apps, web and mobile applications that seamlessly integrate with visualization tools.

- Liaise with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs.

- Present data-driven insights to stakeholders, making complex information accessible and understandable.

- Provide training and support to end-users on the effective use of dashboards and reporting tools.

Qualifications :

- 3-4 years of experience in data visualization, business intelligence, application development, or related roles.

- Proficiency in Power BI, SAP BW, BEX, and Java for data querying and manipulation.

- Strong knowledge of front-end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Experience in application development, with the ability to design and develop both web and mobile applications.

- Expertise in writing SQL scripts and JavaScript queries for data manipulation and reporting.

- Experience with SAP backend systems is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- A degree discipline in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other Engineering Disciplines.

Preferred Skills :

- At least two to four years of experience in BI/ Visualization or related domains, such as BEX queries, dashboarding, reporting, visualization applications.

- Comprehensive experience in applying PowerBI, visualization skills.

- Experience in agile development methodologies.

- Familiarity with other visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).

- Certification in Power BI or other relevant BI tools.

- Experience with mobile app development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter).
