Role & responsibilities
- Textile Design:
- Develop textile patterns, prints, and textures for fashion accessories such as bags, jewelry, and other fashion products.
- Experiment with various fabric materials, dyes, and techniques to create innovative designs that align with the latest trends.
- Work on color palettes and print designs suitable for the Indian market and its diverse fashion preferences.
- Fashion Product Design:
- Collaborate with product designers to create fashion accessories, including bags, jewelry, and textiles, ensuring the final designs meet the brands aesthetic and functionality.
- Assist in creating mood boards, design presentations, and product prototypes.
- Participate in material sourcing and development of sample collections.
- Indian Market Research:
- Conduct research to understand the evolving trends in fashion accessories and textiles within the Indian market.
- Analyze consumer behavior, fabric preferences, and the cultural context of Indian fashion.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies that influence product design and textile innovation.
- Design Coordination & Development:
- Assist in coordinating with suppliers, manufacturers, and production teams for fabric sourcing, sample production, and material testing.
- Participate in product development processes, ensuring that textile designs are optimized for production.
- Ensure that designs are functional, aesthetically appealing, and feasible for mass production.
- Collaboration & Feedback:
- Work closely with senior designers, product managers, and the marketing team to align on design direction and product goals.
- Incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients to refine designs and improve product offerings.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Freshers / Recent graduates in Textile Design, Product Design, or related fields from reputed design institutions like NIFT, NID, Srishti, or similar.
