Cloud Data Administrator - Azure Platform (6-11 yrs)

Clients BI Development Team is in the process of moving BI landscape into Azure Cloud. We are implementing Microsoft's best practices ("Enterprise-Scale for Analytics and AI" deployed in "Data Landing Zone"). One main area is to administrate our Application Servers (PaaS). You will be part of our Global BI Admin Team and will be working on following tasks.

Tasks :

- Setup Application Service Plan (ASP) using terraform

- Provide new Azure Functions and App Service Apps on request of BI Developer Team

- Deploy 3 rd party vendor apps on App Service Plan

- Implement "Health Check" of Azure functions and App Service Apps

- Implement (automatic) scale up/scale out

- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues like slow response times or memory

- Overloads using Azure Load Testing, Application Insights, diagnostic logging and create alerts

- Work together with BI Development Teams to improve performance using best practice like async, loop management, multiple worker processing etc.

- Manage user accounts and access permissions and apply authentication and security mechanisms like oauth2

- Provide technical support and answer questions of BI Developers, i.e explain local.settings.json, common python settings, how to setup trigger and bindings and how to do remote debugging.

- Documenting server setup, configuration (host.json, app settings) and connections

- Plan for future growth and scalability

Required Skills and Background :

- University degree in Computer Sciences or a similar field of studies

- 5 years of experience in Azure environment.

- Ideally accomplished MS courses AZ-104 and AZ 204

- Strong understanding of the following Azure Services : Application Service Plan, Azure Functions and App Services, Azure Monitor, Azure Loading Testing, Application Insights, Azure Container

Instance :

- At least 3 years of experience in administrating Application Service Plans or comparable

- 3 years of previous coding experience in Python, asp.net, node.js or java

- Very high motivation in helping teammates to succeed in their projects

- Fluent in English
