Foundry Engineer

Production

• Assist in daily production operations, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
• Monitor production machinery for performance and report any malfunctions.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during the production process.
• Support the production team in maintaining inventory levels of raw materials.
• Assist in process optimization by identifying areas for improvement.

2. Mould & Core

• Assist in preparing and maintaining moulds and cores for casting processes.
• Support the moulding team in cleaning and preparing the moulding equipment.
• Assist in the assembly and disassembly of moulds and cores for casting.
• Monitor core-making processes and ensure quality standards are met.
• Report any defects or issues with moulds and cores to senior staff.

3. Fettling & Heat Treatment

• Assist in fettling operations to remove excess material and smooth castings.
• Help in cleaning and finishing cast parts to meet customer specifications.
• Support heat treatment processes like hardening, tempering, and annealing.
• Monitor temperature controls and ensure accurate heat treatment cycles.
• Assist with the inspection and quality control of finished products.

4. Melting Shop

• Assist in the operation of melting furnaces to produce molten metal.
• Monitor furnace conditions to maintain proper temperature and composition.
• Ensure proper material handling for metal scrap, alloys, and other inputs.
• Help with the maintenance of melting equipment and report any issues.
• Assist in casting metal into moulds for the next stage of production.

5. Maintenance

• Assist in routine maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment and systems.
• Support preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machines, cleaning, and replacing worn parts.
• Monitor equipment performance and report any abnormalities or breakdowns.
• Help with the installation and calibration of new machines or systems.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and spare parts.
• Assist senior technicians in conducting regular inspections of equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during maintenance activities.
