Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SAP Audit Specialist to oversee the audit and compliance processes within our SAP environment. This role is responsible for conducting thorough audits to ensure the accuracy, security, and efficiency of SAP operations, with a focus on identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of SAP audit principles, risk management, and internal controls.
Responsibilities:
- Audit Planning & Execution: - Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans for SAP systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, and SAP modules such as FICO, MM, SD, and HR. - Perform risk assessments to identify key audit areas and assess potential risks and vulnerabilities in the SAP environment. - Conduct audits on access controls, segregation of duties (SoD), system configurations, data integrity, and system transactions.
- Compliance & Regulatory Standards: - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR) and internal policies. - Regularly review SAP security roles, access permissions, and ensure adherence to best practices for data protection and cybersecurity. - Identify and mitigate potential risks related to SAP compliance and provide recommendations to maintain adherence.
- Risk Management & Control Optimization: - Assess existing controls and propose recommendations to improve the effectiveness of internal controls. - Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to implement and test control enhancements. - Assist in documenting and developing controls for critical SAP processes.
- Reporting & Documentation: - Prepare detailed audit reports, documenting findings, risk implications, and recommendations for remediation. - Present audit results to management and work collaboratively to track and verify implementation of corrective actions. - Develop and maintain audit documentation for each audit engagement.
- User Training & Support: - Provide training to business users on audit best practices, control measures, and security awareness. - Assist with user support and guide stakeholders in understanding compliance requirements.
- Continuous Improvement & Best Practices: - Stay current with new SAP features, audit methodologies, and compliance requirements. - Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance audit efficiency. - Participate in developing audit strategies and contribute to enhancing audit tools and techniques.
Required Skills: - Technical Proficiency: - In-depth knowledge of SAP modules and SAP security, especially user roles, authorization, and access management. - Experience with SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tools and SAP Audit Management. - Proficiency in SAP system configuration and reporting tools for audit purposes. - Understanding of control frameworks such as COBIT, COSO, and ITGC (IT General Controls).
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify risks, and make data-driven recommendations. - Experience with root cause analysis, risk assessment, and control improvement.
- Communication & Collaboration: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present audit findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Preferred Skills : - SAP certification or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) is a plus. - Knowledge of emerging risks, such as cybersecurity threats and advanced data privacy requirements.
Educational Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications: - SAP Audit certification or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) is preferred.
