Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cypress Automation Tester to join our innovative IT team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in test automation, particularly using Cypress, and a passion for ensuring the quality and performance of web applications. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the enhancement of our testing frameworks and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress to ensure the quality of web applications.
- Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and product managers to understand application functionality and testing requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Analyze test results, debug issues, and work closely with the development team to resolve problems.
- Participate in test planning and contribute to the creation of comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Continuously improve and expand the automated testing framework and test coverage.
- Document and report on test outcomes, providing clear and actionable feedback.
- Stay current with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
Preferred Skills:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in automated testing, with a focus on web applications.
- Hands-on experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS).
- Understanding of version control systems, such as Git.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes (eg, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Experience with other test automation tools (eg, Selenium, WebDriverIO).
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (eg, Cucumber) and Gherkin syntax.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (eg, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Educational Qualifications:
- bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
