We are looking for a skilled Test Engineer with expertise in Conventional, Hybrid, and Electric Vehicle (EV) powertrain systems to join our team.
The role involves Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing, ensuring system performance, debugging issues, and maintaining high-quality testing standards.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Ensure HiL infrastructure readiness for testing.
- Conduct HiL simulations and tests for powertrain features.
- Develop and execute test cases and test specifications based on given requirements.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting related to plant models, automation scripts, function algorithms, and calibration.
- Analyze HIL test data to assess system performance and detect potential issues.
- Communicate findings and test progress with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards in the testing process.
- Validate models against real-world data to ensure accuracy.
- Generate test reports and document findings.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in HIL technology and powertrain systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to optimize testing procedures.
Skills and Qualifications Required :
Technical Skills :
- Hands-on experience in HIL testing environments and simulation tools, such as:
- Matlab/Simulink, HiL, Provetech, dSPACE toolchain (Automation Desk, Configuration Desk, Control Desk)
- INCA, ECU Test Tool, Jira, Confluence
- Requirement & Test Specification Repositories (DNG, XRAY, Starc, etc.)
- Automation Scripting: VB, Python, CAPL
- Proficiency in HIL system setup and test infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Knowledge of OBD standards and functional safety (ISO 26262).
- Ability to interpret controller hardware pinout diagrams and wiring harnesses.
Soft Skills :
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex test data.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities for debugging and troubleshooting.
- High attention to detail in test execution and reporting.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration.
- Adaptability to new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
