Job Description
- This role involves implementing, configuring, and optimizing Azure services, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of Linux servers and applications hosted in the Azure environment
- Key Responsibilities:Azure Infrastructure Management:Provision, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Machines (VMs) and other cloud services
- Implement and maintain Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for infrastructure as code
- Linux Server Administration:Administer Linux-based servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux server environments, including various distributions
- Identity and Access Management:Implement and manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) for user authentication and access control
- Configure and maintain Linux-based identity and access controls
- Networking and Security:Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, and network security groups
- Implement and monitor security measures for Linux servers, including firewalls and encryption
- Monitoring and Logging:Implement monitoring solutions to track the performance and health of Azure and Linux environments
- Set up logging and alerting for system events and security incidents
- Backup and Disaster Recovery:Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for Linux-based applications and data in Azure
- Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery procedures
- Scripting and Automation:Utilize scripting languages (eg, PowerShell, Bash) to automate routine tasks and deployment processes
- Implement Azure Automation for configuration management and runbook automation
- Collaboration and Documentation:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and system engineers
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
