What you work:

As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for drive development and sustenance various Network Functions and/or platform for our Mobile Packet Core (EPC and 5GC). You'll lead technical initiatives, mentor team members and collaborate closely with cross functional teams to drive innovation and ensure high-quality deliverables. You'll leverage your expertise to solve challenging problems and contribute to strategic engineering decisions.

• Design and Development:

Our team architects and develops comprehensive Mobile Packet Core solutions that support both 4G LTE and 5G NR (New Radio) technologies. This includes the development of key components such as the Serving Gateway (SGW), PDN Gateway (PGW), and the User Plane Function (UPF) for 4G, as well as the Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF), Session Management Function (SMF), and User Plane Function (UPF) for 5G.

Cloud-Native Architecture: We design our solutions with a cloud-native approach, leveraging containerization, microservices, and orchestration technologies to ensure seamless scalability and manageability in dynamic cloud environments.

• High Availability and Reliability:

Redundancy and Fault Tolerance: Our MPC solutions are built with high availability in mind, incorporating redundant components and failover mechanisms to ensure continuous operation and minimal service disruption.

Performance Optimization: We focus on optimizing performance to handle telco-scale traffic loads, ensuring low latency and high throughput to meet the demanding requirements of modern mobile networks.

• Scalability:

Mandatory skills:

• Should be an expert in one or more of following areas
• Cloud native technologies Kubernetes, load balancing
• 5G Network functions AMF, SMF, PCF, CHF, NEF etc
• EPC functions MME, PGW, SGW, CUPS
• 4G/5G handovers – N26

Desired skills:

• Should have worked on User plane technologies
• DPDK/VPP based forwarding
• Intel DDP and Smart NIC’s
• QoS, Charging and DPI etc

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: 10 to 15 yrs from Telecommunication or Networking background.
• Education: B.Tech/BE (CSE/ECE) or any other equivalent degree
• Have architected EPC/5G Core and hands-on
