DevOps Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a talented and driven DevOps Engineer to join our on-site technology team in Trivandrum, Kerala. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the infrastructure that powers our platform, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate processes, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and ensure smooth deployment across various environments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure using cloud platforms like AWS, Digital Ocean, or Google Cloud.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning and manage configuration management using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

- Build, manage, and optimize continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using **Jenkins**.

Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to enhance system performance, deployment processes, and incident response times.

- Monitor system health and performance using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Cloud-specific monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch).

- Manage and optimize container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure efficient application delivery.

- Implement security best practices across infrastructure, including patch management, vulnerability scanning, and access control.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption to services.

Requirements:

- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.

- Proven experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Digital Ocean, or Google Cloud. - Expertise in Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline management.

- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) .

- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.

- Knowledge of networking, system monitoring, and security best practices. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Experience with serverless architectures and microservices. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk.

- Knowledge of database management and performance tuning (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL).

- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
