We are currently seeking a Senior Automation Engineer - IDS to join our Chennai Team, and this position will be directly reporting to Global Technical Datacenter Manager.

About the mission we offer you:

• The Global Senior Automation Engineer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the automation of the On-premises datacenters, aiming at making the On-premises services consumable as a Service.
• This role includes designing and implementing the automation of the On-premises service catalog, based on Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, etc
• He / She will be part of a Platform team mixing up diverse skills to cover all aspects of Datacenter building.
• He / She will take an active hands on role in building the automation by consuming the services of the Tooling Platform (Terraform, Ansible ) and scripting.
• He / She will be responsible for handing over the Run of the automated processes to the Operations Teams.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience in automating complex end-to-end infrastructure processes, including a complete ecosystem: compute, storage, network, monitoring.
• Expert in Terraform, CICD (ideally Azure DevOps), Ansible
• Very good knowledge of infrastructure (hardware, virtualization, system, storage, network, security, monitoring, databases)
• Very good knowledge in Powershell, Python and C#
• Knowledge on VMware & OLKVM technologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders
• Experience with and appetite for working in an international context
• Fluent English, technical and conversational
• (Nice-to-Have) Relevant certifications (e.g., Terraform Associate, Azure Devops, Ansible, VMware)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop end-to-end automation workflows and scripts to support on-premises infrastructure as a service.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, integrate, and automate platform services.
• Adapt the platform services catalog to consider the automated parts
• Perform and validate the automation processes during the transition to Operations Teams.
• Hand over the Run of the automated processes to Operations
• Report on the progress of the automation ratio to the Datacenters Platform Owner
• Continuously improve automation practices by adopting industry best practices and tools.
