Technical Project Manager (TPM)

General R&D Management (GRM) comprises the management of the engineering organisation which includes development and revision of new and existing products or services. Covers monitoring of different engineering dimensions and priority setting and conflict resolution between the different organisational dimensions (if any). Contains formulation of long-term objectives, implementation of policies, and monitoring of engineering budget and development schedule. Comprises optimisation of product delivery and involvement in patent search, technology surveillance, technology trends, and is main contributor in innovation management of the company.

Mandatory Skillset

• Minimum 9+ year experience in Software development projects of which at least 5 years of experience as a Technical Project lead/Manager.
• Strong understanding of technical concepts, including software architecture, development, Testing, Deployment, end to end delivery.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, Lean.Ability to apply these frameworks in execution.
• Practical experience in Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Daily Stand-ups and Sprint reviews.
• Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Microsoft teams, Confluence, SharePoint.
• Sound expertise in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Expertise in handling Change Management process / up-scope.
• Proficiency in creating detailed project timelines, including dependencies, tasks and milestones using tools like MS project, Smartsheet, or Gantt charts.
• Excellent communication and Negotiation skills.
• Problem Solving & Decision-Making skills.
• Good logical and analytical understanding Team player with solid interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work with virtual teams and support team for resolving complex cases

Good to have

• Having experience in delivering Custom applications/Telecom Location services projects is a major plus.
• Good Cloud knowledge is plus.

As a Technical Project Manager (TPM), you will be responsible for project management and overseeing the implementation of complex software applications.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders (MS team, Customers, Cross-functional teams) to define the project goals, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop a Project Management Plan detailing project scope, timelines, resources, and budget.
• Facilitating communication between technical teams and stakeholders and ensure alignment.
• Overseeing the development and implementation of project documentation and reports.
• Participating in architecture discussions and design reviews to ensure alignment with design metrics.
• Engaging in code reviews and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards in deliverables
• Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues proactively.
• Conducting regular project status meetingsand providing updates to relevant stakeholders
• Analysing workflows to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
• Ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards, specifications, and stakeholder expectations.
• Conduct regular quality checks, reviews, and audits
• Driving the integration of Agile practises within technical teams to enhance collaboration and adaptability.
• Continuous focus on improving internal processes for better project outcomes (e.g., retrospectives, process audits, lean practices)
