Tech Lead - Field Service

• Perform analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, conduct diagnostics, and isolate issues to the component level, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime, system interruptions, and equipment malfunctions.

• Keep up to date on semiconductor capital equipment and products through learning, training, and certification.

• Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance service, and complete installation/relocation start-up services of complex electro-mechanical and electronic systems at customer sites.

• Assist in complex field modifications and updates, maintaining records and reports to coordinate activities between Quest-Client and the End-Customer.

• Serve as a subject matter expert, representing Quest-Client to our valued End-Customers, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

• Travel for training and alternate customer sites, based on business needs (domestic and international)

• Troubleshoot and create customer response action plans to support customer needs.

• Transparently discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to increase trust.

• Provide technical instruction and mentoring for junior engineers.

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechatronics, Chemical, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (7+ years of experience for Bachelors degree; or 5+ years of experience with Master degree)

• Experience in the semiconductor industry or another capital equipment support industry is a must.

• Previous experience in installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge in any of the following: pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics

• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.

• Able to work in a clean room environment while wearing personal protective safety equipment, or cleanroom suit such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.

• Your job requires the ability to walk extensively, stand for extended periods of time, work in tight spaces, bend, stoop, sit, squat, twist, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, stand, reach and lift up to 35 pounds to perform job tasks for extended periods.

• Able to distinguish between colors, work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise and use hand and power tools

• Able to travel frequently, domestically and internationally, based on customer needs, flexibility to work a variety shifts including compressed and alternative workweeks including overtime and on-call if needed.

Requirements (Nice to have):

• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with common office software including Microsoft Office Suite.

• Communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

• Foundational analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Field Service training / Certification and hands-on experience working with Semiconductor Capital Equipment
