Job Description
- Design and develop complex electrical systems, sub-systems, and/or solutions, applying engineering methods to design.
- Contributes to research and development efforts by collecting and analyzing data to improve electrical system designs.
- Develops functional specifications for electrical/ electro-mechanical systems and power distribution components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM system components.
- Perform hands-on test and validation utilizing lab equipment to characterization of the performance of the electrical/ electro-mechanical systems.
- Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to diverse audiences in design reviews.
- Acts as a resource and mentor for more junior colleagues.
- Educational qualification: Bachelor / Master s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- Years of Experience: minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in system level understanding of Electro-Mechanical Sub-systems (Semi-conductor / Automotive / Aerospace) , Power Distribution/Control systems and/or Industrial Automation.
- Proficient in Electrical Electronic Circuit design with safety interlocks various circuit analyses.
- Experience in selecting Electrical/Electronic OEM components.
- Hands-on experience in Low/High Voltage Electrical Electronic circuit designs for Power and Control applications.
- Must have worked on any one of electrical engineering CAD tools like PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, Cadence or equivalent CAD packages for circuit design simulation.
- Familiar with Safety standards like - UL 508, IEC 60947, SEMI S22, NFPA79.
- Ability to define functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environment.
- Familiar with design for serviceability, manufacturability, reliability.
- Highly proficient at troubleshooting systems with tools like network sniffers, protocol analyzers, and tool logs.
- Experience in troubleshooting with problem-solving techniques such as 5-why, 8D, fishbones, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical presentations.
- Experience in semiconductor industry or related (industrial, automotive, military).
