Job Description

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Business Development Teams identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business development strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies and services. They identify markets and determine the feasibility of business and product development. Our Teams perform economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities, develop business models and determine market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.



Role Description

Collaboratively with BD, lead where to play and how to win choices to drive growth, improve profitability, and sustain competitive advantage globally and regionally.
Develop strategies and approaches to fulfill complex project assignments in creative and meaningful ways
Create analytical models to address key business questions and translate output into clear stories
Analyze industry structure, competitive dynamics, and market attractiveness and its likely evolution to inform AFG strategy development
Actively identify FTAM opportunities for AFGs and lead, collaboratively with Business Development team and cross-functional stakeholders, the body of work in identification and validation of TAM expansion opportunities.
Lead cross-functional teams in solving business problems using a hands-on hypothesis-driven approach:
-Lead from the front by taking on complex workstreams and providing though guidance and hands-on support
-Guide and coach project team members in using a hypothesis-driven approach
-Manage projects and develop deliverables and executive presentations
-Frame discussion of findings and recommendations
-Assess organic and inorganic opportunities on multiple dimensions
Advise the leadership team on selecting the most attractive opportunities and acquisition targets to strengthen product portfolio and go-to-market capabilities.



What your background should look like:

Success in the role requires business acumen and a strategic mindset, exceptional communication and presentation skills, the ability to work seamlessly with stakeholders at multiple levels in the organization, an ability to managing cross functional teams and leading projects from start to end, and the skills and tenacity to achieve results through influence and enthusiasm.

Previous Professional experience
15+yrs of Industry experience with 3 years or more of management consulting experience post graduate degree preferred
2 years or more of experience working in corporate strategy for an industrial company
Experience interfacing with executives and C-suite through effective communication of ideas and plans
Track record of demonstrated leadership potential in a business environment
Sense of tact, confidentiality, and maturity
Education
MBA degree is highly valuable
Problem solving, analytics, project management, and communications skills
Expertise in strategic planning and in implementing strategy within a complex organization
Experience dealing with strategic business issues (e.g. industry structure, operations strategy finance)
Ability to structure and solve complex problems using a hypothesis-driven approach
Ability to understand the big picture and prioritize key initiatives.
Extreme attention to details.
Ability to structure work, manage strategy projects, and implementation
Excellent oral and written communication skills able to synthesize and communicate key messages
Thought Leadership and business expertise
Track record of solving complex business problems
Ability to leverage strategy tools, frameworks, and processes to create insights and recommendations
Expertise in one or more business strategy and/or operations strategy areas
Entrepreneurial and high-energy approach
People, teamwork and leadership
