Job Description
Tata Consulting Engineers Limited is looking for Specialist Engineer-Consultant-Civil-Design Engineering to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey
- Design and Drafting: Create detailed designs, drawings, and plans for civil engineering projects, including site layouts, grading plans, roadways, drainage systems, and utilities
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other design tools to develop accurate and precise drawings
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to gather project requirements and specifications
- Coordinate design activities with the project team to ensure compliance with project objectives, codes, regulations, and client expectations
- Site Analysis and Surveying: Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data on topography, existing structures, and infrastructure
- Analyze site conditions and constraints to develop appropriate design solutions and optimize project outcomes
- Structural Design Support: Work closely with structural engineers to provide design support and coordination for structural elements of civil engineering projects
- Assist in the development of structural plans, calculations, and specifications
- Technical Calculations and Analysis: Perform engineering calculations, such as earthwork volume calculations, stormwater drainage calculations, and slope stability analysis
- Utilize engineering software and tools to analyze and verify design parameters and specifications
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, environmental regulations, and other applicable standards
- Stay updated with the latest regulatory requirements and integrate them into design solutions
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design drawings, technical specifications, reports, and project records
- Create comprehensive and accurate design documentation for review and approval by clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders
- Quality Control and Review: Conduct quality control checks to review design drawings and ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements
- Collaborate with the project team to address design issues, resolve conflicts, and propose design modifications if necessary
- Construction Support: Provide support during the construction phase of projects by addressing design-related queries, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting in resolving construction-related issues
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure design intent is accurately implemented
- Professional Development: Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in design technology, and best practices in civil engineering
- Participate in professional development activities, workshops, and training to enhance technical skills and knowledge
