Sr DevOps Engineer ( Build and Release )

Job Description

• As a DevOps Sr. Engineer, you will work with both web content management and engineering team members, as well as release management, to ensure code and content is effectively managed, built and deployed across development, test and production environments. You will be expected to assist in identifying gaps and implementing changes to continually increase efficiency using automation where necessary.

• Primary responsibilities include administration of code repositories and ownership of code merges; administration of build tools and ownership of build operations; administration of deployment tools and ownership of deployment operations to all environments; ensuring all operations are properly documented and continually audited.

You will be Responsible for:

• Automation in Build and Release of Java and .NET applications

• Define and manage the build process for multiple concurrent releases

• Development, monitoring, administration and deployment of the build systems, environments and its software

• Responsible for Managing source code repositories (SVN, Git) and Bitbucket as well as defining branching and merging strategies

• Responsible for deployment of release tasks, issue resolution and documentation. Off hour support during releases and incident resolution

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in Build/Release and configuration management .

• Expertise with Continuous Integration (CI) and Build tools (Jenkins, TeamCity) .

• Proficient with source code management systems (Git, SVN) including the management, configuration and use of Bitbucket .

• Maintaining and enhancing the automated continuous integration and continuous delivery environments using TeamCity. Experience with Jenkins, Fisheye and other related tools are desirable.

• Experience with Java and .NET applications build and deployment processes .

• Proficient with build automation, orchestration and dependency management tools such as Maven, Ant, MS Build, Nexus and NuGet .

• Comfortable with basic administration Windows Servers platform. Linux experience is desirable .

• Good Knowledge of deployment tools RepliWeb preferred (Spinnaker, Octopus are acceptable).

• Automation experience using Python, PowerShell or equivalent scripting/programming tools/languages .

• Experience with automation/configuration management using Chef, Ansible or an equivalent .

• Experience working with both onshore and offshore distributed teams, on-call support .

• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services (experience in AWS is a plus) .

Good to have

• Some working knowledge of AWS .
