Backend Lead

Role & responsibilities

• Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  
• Lead code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and share technical insights.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  
• Architect and develop server-side components using modern backend technologies like Node.js
  
• Write high-quality, reusable, and testable code, adhering to industry standards.
  
• Optimise application performance for scalability and reliability

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development, with at least 3 years in Node.js
  
• Proven experience leading a team of at least 10 developers (2 years of team handling experience) ensuring productivity and alignment with organizational goals.
  
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and team management skills.
  
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and micro services architecture.
  
• Proficiency in working with databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
