Sr Engineer - Electrical ( Execution)

*Experience in the construction of Substations (220/230 KV or above) in the Power Distribution sector, with exp in HV / EHV Substation.

The principal responsibilities essentially include:

• Good knowledge of Solar Photovoltaic & Electrical components
• Must have Knowledge of the Installation of Solar Panels and their Electrical connections
• Installation of Inverter (Central or String),.
• Installation of Transformers, HT/LT Panel, Switchgears, VCB, UPS etc.. at the site.
• Must have knowledge of Tools and series & parallel connections
• SCADA Installation
• To understand the project drawings, SLDs, and Installation designs aspects of primary equipment like a transformer, Circuit Breakers, CT, CVT, PT, LA, HT/C&R panel of the substation.
• To ensure the construction work as per the approved design and drawing for all phases of engineering construction relating to equipment erection and testing.
• Daily monitoring of construction progress, considering quality concerns and ensuring job site safety considerations are addressed. It will also include the monitoring of overall transmission line work (33kV to 220/230kV) and bay-end substation construction work.
• Perform all daily inspections to achieve the quality of construction indicated in the drawings and specifications for all works performed by the contractor.
• Inspection of incoming material on a random basis at site level before installation. Further, verification of all the technical documents such as Material Test Certificates (MTC), MDCC, factory test reports and warranty-related documents. If found any issues during the inspection, then prepare material inspection report for the faulty material.
• Cary out inspection for erection methodology and testing for all electrical equipment and ensures construction activity at the site are as per approved Method of Statement (MOS) and Field Quality (FQP) and testing plan.
• To ensure the erection, testing and commissioning of all electrical equipment as per approved FQP or OEM installation and testing guidelines.
• Ensuring effective site management and discipline to ensure the safe execution of the project.
• Testing of all substation equipment viz., Transformer, PT, CT, Lightning arresters, Circuit breaker, Isolators at site and Manufacturers place (if required).
• Maintaining the proper record of quality documents for every activity such as calibration certificates, Field quality plan, (FQP) and checklists submitted by EPC for acceptance of work.
• Preparation of project quality reports and punch list with appropriate mitigation techniques so as to get the compliance report from EPC for smooth handover of the project.
• Providing technical guidance to EPC/ sub-contractors whenever required for resolving various complications of site with close interaction with SEI office team.
• Maintaining proper documents i.e. emails copies/reports etc. for future reference.
