Mechanical Engineer

Role & responsibilities :

• Project Management: Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Design and Analysis: Develop and review mechanical designs, specifications, and drawings. Perform engineering calculations and simulations.
• Installation and Commissioning: Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Oversee maintenance activities, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all mechanical engineering work complies with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, schedules, and budgets.
• Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety standards and practices within the plant.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Education: Diploma/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the cement or heavy industrial sector.
• Skills:
• Strong project management skills.
• Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Previous experience in a PMC role within the cement industry will be advantage.
