Project Lead / Project Manager

Role & responsibilities :

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Project Manager / Project Head for our Project Management Consultant (PMC) team in the construction field. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale, high-rise luxurious residential projects from pre-construction to post-construction stages.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Construction Phase:

- Scope Definition: Clearly define and document project scope and objectives.
- Design Development: Oversee the design development stage, ensuring alignment with client goals and project requirements.
- Coordination: Facilitate effective coordination with all consultants, architects, and stakeholders.
- Contracts & Quantity Surveying (QS): Manage contracts, perform quantity surveying, and ensure accurate budgeting and costing.
- Tender Management: Handle the entire tender process, from preparation to awarding contracts.
- Strategic Planning: Develop strategic plans to ensure project success and timely completion.

Construction Phase:

- Scope Management: Maintain strict control over the project's scope to prevent scope creep.
- Planning: Develop and oversee detailed construction schedules and timelines.
- Contracts Management: Manage all contractual obligations and modifications, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
- Client Management: Maintain strong client relationships, addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve project-related issues.
- Site Management: Supervise all site activities to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Quality and Safety: Implement and enforce rigorous quality and safety standards.
- Leadership: Exhibit strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Post-Construction Phase:

- Final Handover: Oversee the final handover process, ensuring all project deliverables are met and client satisfaction is achieved.

Post-Construction Activities: Manage all post-construction activities, including final inspections, documentation, and client feedback.

Administrative Skills:

- Proficient in managing all administrative tasks related to project management.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Leadership Skills:

- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage project teams effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Background:

- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (BE Civil).
- Masters in Construction Management.

- PMP Certification will be advantage.

Certifications:

Additional relevant certifications are a plus.

Experience:

- 12 to 20 years of experience as a leader in construction projects that are at least 3-4 million in area.

- Experience with projects that are minimum 15+ floors high.

- Experience working with international design consultants and material supply vendors is a plus
- Proven track record of managing at least 3 large-scale projects, each with a minimum of 15 to 20 lakh square feet built up area in high-rise luxurious residential projects.
- Experience encompassing the entire project lifecycle from design development to final handover.
