Job Description
VMWARE/KVM/Proxmox Administration
Managing and configuring VMware Vsphere8.0, VMware Vsphere 7.0, ESXI 6.5 Vcenter, Vsphere client. Remote Administration of Windows Business / Enterprise Server 2k12, 2k8, 2k3 Servers.
VMware ESXI server, VMware virtual center, setting up V-Motion, HA, DRS, and related VMware products such as VM Workstation, VMware converter VM Backup products and other products for virtualization.
configuration of iSCSI Lun on the ESXI host and multipath configuration
Configuring the VSAN to the cluster and managing disks over the VSAN environment.
Provide support for global Virtual Infrastructure VMware, assist with capacity planning, analysis, and monitoring.
Creating the VM s using various methods like templates, ISO images, Clones, OVA and OVR.
Regularly involved in various VM related tasks such as Upgrading VMware Virtual Hardware, VMTools.
Performing the regular tasks like increasing VM s disk space/Memory/CPU/Datastore.
Creating clones/snapshots as per the customer requirements during the planned activity.
Planning and implementing policies and procedures, aligning with the industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Regularly monitor the VCenter ESXI host performance and VM performance and load balancing the VM s as per the threshold limit.
Providing the fixes to the VM s which were running with network latency issues and network drops.
Capacity planning to VM s and ESXI server based on the demand from the customer like memory/ Datastore.
Planning and implementing VMware upgrade such as such as VCenter server and ESXI host and patch update to the ESXI hosts with help update manager.
Adding and decommission the ESXI hosts as per the demand.
Creating the DRS rules to the required servers like cluster/ISAM/Layer7 devices.
Troubleshoot the slow boot issues.
Storage and Hardware Administration
Design installation, management, and routine upgrades of Dell PowerEdge M1000e/MX700 and HPE Synergy 12000 chassis and Dell Server
Configuration of EMC ESRS monitoring tool for VNX 5400 and Unity 300 Storage devices.
Experience in administrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting DELL EMC storage unity 300, VNX 5400, ME4012,ME5024
knowledge of Storage SAN and NAS, Unified with FC, ISCSI, NFS protocols
Performed masking using EMC CLI and zoning on Brocade switch 6505
Configuration and managing VEEAM/Veritas backup solution for Virtual infrastructure.
Managing WSUS server and Windows patch management
Managing RD licensing server and configuration
AWS Services EC2, VPC, Cloud Front, ELB, Subnet, Security groups, IAM, Auto Scaling.
Knowledge of Ansible playbook.
Hands on experience with cloud environment like AWS EC2, S3, IAM, EBS,EFS, VPC, ELB, Route53
Good knowledge on blade servers: Dell, HP, Cisco UCS
Managing and troubleshooting Dell /UCS/HP Server and updating the server with latest firmware
Hands on Experience on ITIL frameworks on reaching Service Level Agreements (SLA) targets as agreed with customer.
Knowledge on ITIL processes. Good understanding of Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Capacity Management.
Hands on Experience Service Now ticketing tool
Hands on experience on Redhat/rocky linux Administration
