Manager - Corporate Legal

Responsible for managing documents and drafts with respect to litigation process before various courts/forums and advising stakeholders within the organization on policy, process, decisions where legal opinion is neededThis is an operational role, responsible for delivering results that have direct impact on the achievement of results within the businessResponsibilities Prepare arguments and strategies for all disputes, correspond meet with third parties
Advise the management on various day to day operational matters which require legal view/opinion bearing in mind potential legal and litigation risks
Initiate and settle forth the Company s arguments in any dispute
Work closely with the collections department to minimize bad debtReview debt collections regularly with collection agencies and outside counsel
Draft Settlement Agreements and binding repayment plans to ensure the highest returns possible
Prepare and file proof of debt claims for insolvent debtors of the Company
Implement and maintain appropriate litigation policies, systems, and defenses relevant to the Company s operations, including document hold and production policies
Respond to subpoenas and requests for information from enforcement and regulatory bodies
Work with outside counsel on assigned court proceedings (including arbitrations, mediations, and litigations), including drafting pre-action correspondence, preparing discovery, reviewing, and amending pleadings and witness statements, attending trials and hearings as appropriate, and developing strategies to obtain the best and most cost-effective result for the CompanyDesired Skill sets Experience in liaising with management level in large organizations
