BESS Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Possess knowledge and has hands on experience on Mech and electrical design of the High voltage Lithium Ion Battery pack design
• Chiller sizing
• Tender document understanding and BESS sizing understanding
• Knowledge about Electrical Transformer, Power Conversion systems sizing and exposure towards the same
• Exposure in commissioning BESS site
• Should be able to lead the team of 10-15 engineers
• Required experience in Battery energy storage design and integration with PCS and EMS
• Experience in design and development of Battery pack for EV/BESS
• Experience in design and development of EMS,PPC etc
• In depth Knowledge about Switchyard, Transformer, HT panel and cablings ,communication protocol etc
• Engineering coordination for Pre-bid and Post Bid BESS Tenders and projects
• Tender review and understand the technical requirement, Govt regulations for BESS and power evacuations.
• Identify and manage the technical risk by corresponding mitigation plan.
• Validate the technical design with peers and approve the drawings.
• Manage the interface with Site, Production team and Engineering.
• Coordination with customer and OEM's for BESS Installation-Commissioning and service support at site.
• Knowledge about BESS Container, Liquid cooling system, Fire fighting System, HVAC will have additional advantage.
• Electrical BOM preparation for BESS products/projects.
• User manual, installation manual, O&M manual preparation.
