Associate planner

A role in Planning means being in charge of the financials and forecasting for one of Target s businesses. Here, you will conduct comparative analysis of business results and trends to provide insights that inform the Inventory team s work to ensure that product supports projected sales. Acting as the hub between Merchandising and Supply Chain, you will create a financial link between these two essential groups and have a voice in some of the most important decisions from a financial strategy standpoint.

As an Associate Planner, you will develop the business strategies that ensure product availability and profitable sales.

Your work will make a positive impact by analyzing category results and identifying insights and opportunities across key financial metric including sales, margin and ROI. You will determine item-level investments to support category financial plans as a part of pre-season vendor commitments. Through business analysis and clustering, you will help identify segmentation opportunities to drive localization strategies. Previous experience in planning/ FP&A (in retail) & inventory management Your skills will support strategic decisions about how we forecast sales and inventory needs to deliver guests with the products they want most.
