Job Description

Job Overview:

Tamarind Global is looking for an experienced and dynamic Inbound Product Manager to curate, develop, and manage unique travel products and experiences across the Indian sub-continent. This role requires a deep understanding of destination trends, customer preferences, and supplier relations to create unique and competitive travel offerings. It involves working closely with suppliers, contracting teams, and sales to create innovative, high-quality itineraries and packages for leisure travelers, luxury FITs, Incentive and group travel.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development & Itinerary Curation

  • Design and curate high-end, experiential, and bespoke travel itineraries for inbound travelers.
  • Develop thematic journeys (heritage, culture, adventure, wellness, culinary, wildlife, luxury rail, etc.) tailored to client preferences.
  • Collaborate with suppliers (hotels, transport, DMCs, guides, attractions) to curate engaging travel experiences.
  • Work with the contracting team to ensure best rates, allocations, and exclusive value-adds for products.
  • Create and update destination guides, experience catalogs, and marketing collaterals for sales teams.
  • Identify new and offbeat destinations, boutique stays, and immersive local experiences..
  • Ensure products align with market demand, customer expectations, and company strategy.

2. Supplier & Contracting Coordination:

  • Work closely with the contracting team to ensure competitive pricing and value-added services.
  • Work closely with hotels, transport providers, and experience curators to enhance product offerings.
  • Establish partnerships with heritage properties, luxury resorts, homestays, and niche experience providers.
  • Negotiate inclusions, terms, and special offers with suppliers to enhance product competitiveness.
  • Ensure all contracts, service agreements, and operational requirements are met.
  • Ensure supplier quality control through regular audits, feedback loops, and guest reviews.

3. Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to understand customer behavior, travel trends, and emerging destinations.
  • Analyze competitors' offerings to ensure a competitive edge in pricing and services.
  • Adapt and refine product strategies based on market insights and performance data.

4. Sales & Marketing Collaboration:

  • Work with the sales team to develop promotional strategies and sales support materials.
  • Coordinate with marketing to create compelling product presentations, digital content, and brochures.
  • Train sales teams on new products, key selling points, and unique travel experiences.

5. Operational Excellence & Customer Experience:

  • Ensure seamless execution of products with high service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Address operational challenges and coordinate with internal teams to enhance efficiency.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve product offerings.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years in inbound travel product development, destination management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indias tourism landscape, travel trends, and customer preferences.
  • Creativity: Ability to design unique and engaging travel experiences.
  • Commercial Acumen: Knowledge of pricing strategies, revenue optimization, and cost control.
  • Supplier Management: Experience working with hotels, transport providers, and activity partners.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with sales, contracting, and marketing teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to research, analyze data, and make informed product decisions.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with travel booking platforms and digital distribution channels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in global inbound markets especially Europe and USA.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and experiential tourism trends.
