Assistant Manager - Litigation - Fintech
- Candidate should be from a litigation background, preferably with experience in handling financial services or fintech-related litigation.
Responsibilities will include :
Functional Expertise:
- Managing, monitoring, and providing strategic advice on various litigation matters, including commercial disputes, contractual issues, and regulatory proceedings.
- Drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents related to litigation, such as petitions, replies, and other court filings.
- Coordinating with external law firms and legal advisors on litigation strategy and case handling.
- Managing disputes relating to payment systems, financial services, and other business operations related to BharatPe.
- Representing the company in court proceedings and hearings, ensuring legal compliance and effective advocacy of BharatPe's position.
Interaction:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with internal teams, legal advisors, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinating with the legal and compliance teams on ongoing disputes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Engaging with regulators and authorities regarding legal and regulatory matters affecting ongoing or potential litigation.
Problem Solving:
- Managing legal risks arising from ongoing litigation and advising internal teams on how to address such issues.
- Analyzing and strategizing on litigation risks, and recommending proactive steps to prevent legal conflicts.
- Evaluating potential litigation outcomes and advising the company on the most effective approach to resolve disputes.

Qualification & Experience (type & industry):
- Law Graduate (LLB) from a recognized university.
- 2 to 5 years post-qualification experience in litigation, preferably in financial services, fintech, or banking-related matters.
Skills & know-how:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong problem-solving ability, with a focus on minimizing legal risks and effectively managing litigation.
- Experience in handling financial services litigation or disputes involving fintech products.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to fintech and payment systems, including UPI, RBI KYC norms, and Payment & Settlement Acts.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external teams and stakeholders in high-pressure situations.
