Director - Backend Architecture (16-25 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced Backend Architect to join our team in an agile development environment.

This role requires deep expertise in Python and Java, a strong foundation in the software engineering development lifecycle, and the ability to define and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.

The ideal candidate will lead large-scale, complex software implementations, set technical standards, and mentor development teams while collaborating with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

Architectural Design:

- Define and implement robust Python & Java-based architectures for enterprise applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

- Develop high-level design documents, including system diagrams, component interactions, and technology stack selection.

- Evaluate and select appropriate Python and Java frameworks (Django, Flask, etc.) based on project requirements.

- Design and implement microservices architecture where applicable.

Technical Leadership :

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring compliance with architectural best practices.

- Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best coding practices.

- Stay updated on emerging technologies in Python, Java, and backend architecture to drive innovation.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Partner with DevOps teams to optimize deployment, monitoring, and system reliability.

Solution Delivery :

- Oversee the end-to-end implementation of architectural designs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.

- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive optimization strategies.

Required Skills & Experience :

Technical Expertise :

- Proficiency in Python & Java, with a strong understanding of syntax, data structures, design patterns, and best practices.

- Extensive experience with Python frameworks (Django, Flask) and Java-based backend development.

- Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native architectures.

Leadership & Communication :

- Proven ability to mentor and guide development teams, resolve complex technical issues, and provide strategic direction.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
