Electrical Engineer

Location: Delhi NCR, India

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical systems in line with industry standards. This role requires a hands-on approach in the field, including customer visits, to ensure effective communication and understanding of opportunities for machine improvement. The ideal candidate will actively seek to grow both professionally and contribute to the companys growth by enhancing systems efficiency and customer satisfaction. Experience in design, maintenance, and field installations is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical System Design and Troubleshooting: Design and implement electrical systems and control circuits in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Perform electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve system malfunctions and improve reliability. Provide technical support for electrical issues and work closely with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

2. PCB Design and Layout: Design and optimize microcontroller based printed circuit boards (PCBs) for various applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define layout requirements, including component placement, routing, and signal integrity. Utilize advanced design software like Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCAD to create detailed layouts and schematics. Conduct simulations, testing, and debugging to ensure PCB functionality and reliability. Coordinate with manufacturing partners to oversee production, assembly, and testing, maintaining high-quality standards.

3. HMI Designing: Develop and design intuitive, user-friendly Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems to enhance operator interaction with machinery and processes. Create graphical user interfaces (GUIs) that meet user requirements and safety standards. Integrate HMI designs with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other control systems to ensure seamless communication and data exchange. Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine and improve HMI designs.

4. Spare Parts Management: Manage the inventory and procurement of spare parts and components. Develop procedures and best practices for procurement. Vendor pool enhancement. Ensure the availability of critical spares to minimize equipment downtime and maintain operational continuity.

5. Project Management and Documentation: Lead and manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Prepare detailed documentation, including schematics, Bills of Materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs, provide technical guidance, and ensure alignment with project objectives. Work with customers on-site, understand their pain points, provide timely solutions, manage the field team.

Skills and Experience

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in PCB design, HMI development, and PLC programming.
• Proficiency in PCB design software (such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCAD) and HMI development tools.
• Strong knowledge of microcontroller programming and embedded systems development.
• Experience with communication protocols (Modbus, CAN, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, etc.) and IoT integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness and prior experience of being hands-on in product development. This position will be a blend of machine operation, lab/outdoors testing and development of hardware and field travel.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and best practices.
