Job Description

The Lead Payroll will oversee and manage all payroll functions for our India operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee remuneration in compliance with local regulations. This role will involve supervising a team, coordinating with, Compensation & Benefits Team, Finance and Taxation departments, and HRBP in implementing best practices to maintain efficient payroll operations.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:


Payroll Management:

Compliance & Reporting:

- Lead the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, payroll calculations, and disbursement.

- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

- Manage payroll systems and tools, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

- Stay updated on changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and other relevant legislation to ensure compliance.

- Prepare and submit statutory reports and data, including PF, ESI, TDS, and other mandatory contributions to the compliance team.

- Quality and Accuracy Ensure data integrity and accuracy in SAP HR systems through regular audits and quality checks.

- Collaborate with HR business partners and other stakeholders to understand requirements and implement solutions.

- Able to create and maintain documentation related to SAP HR master data processes and procedures.

- Stay updated on SAP HR module advancements and best practices, implementing improvements where applicable.

- Run the Data Quality program to ensure that data is maintained with 100% Accuracy. Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance payroll efficiency.

- Audit Response: Develop and maintain data standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance

- Provide inputs and data to Auditors promptly.

- Coordinate with Auditors to clear their queries.

- Employee Relations: Address and resolve employee payroll queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

- Ensure accurate and prompt handling of payroll-related employee requests, such as salary adjustments, deductions, and reimbursements.

- Coordinate with external vendors and agencies.
