About the Role :
Credera is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic, fast-paced team.
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will work closely with the product development team to ensure the quality of our software products.
You will be responsible for executing and refining testing strategies for new features and functionalities, ensuring that all deliverables meet high-quality standards before they are released.
You will also be a key player in implementing agile methodologies within the development team and providing guidance to junior QAs.
This position requires individuals who can join immediately and thrive in an agile, client-facing environment where they are expected to deliver high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities :
- Testing and Quality Assurance
- Test software to identify bugs and issues in functionality and performance.
- Plan, execute, and document the testing process, ensuring thorough validation of features and functionality.
- Conduct smoke testing to verify smooth deployment and functionality of software in production.
- Execute comprehensive end-to-end testing and automated testing to ensure the quality and reliability of applications.
- Perform system integration testing to confirm that software components interact correctly within a system.
- Collaboration with Development Teams
- Work closely with the Product Owner and Tech Lead to understand business requirements and break them down into testable user stories.
- Collaborate with Senior Developers and Tech Leads to define and estimate stories and assist in defining acceptance criteria (Definition of Ready).
- Partner with the development team to write test cases and improve software quality throughout the development cycle.
- Participate in the Definition of Ready (DoR) to accept stories and ensure that they meet the necessary criteria for testing.
- Agile Methodology and Process Improvement
- Leverage agile methodologies in daily work to contribute to high-velocity and efficient delivery.
- Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies.
- Continuously improve the testing process by providing feedback on best practices and areas of improvement.
Leadership and Mentoring
- Provide mentorship to junior QA engineers, ensuring they understand agile processes and best practices.
- Share knowledge and guide team members in executing high-quality automated and manual tests.
- Ensure testing procedures and documentation are well-organized and easily accessible for team members.
Qualifications and Skills :
Must-Have Skills :
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing.
- Strong experience with automated testing, end-to-end testing, and system integration testing.
- Proficiency in writing test cases and executing smoke testing.
- Solid understanding of agile development processes and the ability to collaborate effectively in an agile environment.
- Experience in creating and executing automated test scripts for functionality validation.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and report bugs effectively.
Nice-to-Have Skills :
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with performance testing and load testing tools.
- Familiarity with tools like Selenium, JUnit, Postman, or other testing frameworks.
- Exposure to cloud-native applications and tools such as AWS.
Soft Skills :
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments, technologies, and processes.
- A self-starter who is comfortable with minimal supervision and can work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
