Role & responsibilities

• Accounting of cash, cheques & bank remittances received from customers in SAP on a daily basis including verifying credit of payments
• Tracking & Accounting cash & cheques collections related documents on a daily basis
• Maintaining a record of customer cheque returns and informing CCD for release/block of customer accounts in SAP
• Reconciliation of customer accounts and ensuring that balances are matching with customer books
• Coordinating with other divisional accountants for group customers
• Following up with sales team and customers (remotely) for pending payment details
• Accounting of customer tax invoices and issuing tax credit notes to customers based on agreements with customers
• Preparation of a daily sales & collection statement
• Generating customer SOAs from SAP/Preparing in Excel & circulating the same to sales team/customers from time to time
• Preparation of customer payment history
• Verification of sales force incentives on a quarterly basis
• Administrative tasks if required like maintaining a record of staff attendance, telephone cards, etc.
• Review of general ledger accounts to ensure that ledger balances are reflecting the correct picture
• Preparation of various schedules/workings for month-end closing of books
• Preparation of various month-end reports required for the monthly management meeting
• Preparation of adhoc reports as required by Manager
• Support to cashier, AR, Claim & general accountants in day-to-day accounting
• Supporting Manager in implementing process changes if any related to AR, cash/bank, staff & petty cash advances for the betterment of the company
• Assist Manager in month-end closing & reporting activities
• Cash in Hand Reconciliation & cleaning of AR Clearing account on a weekly basis
• Assisting on VAT related queries & controls
