Job Description
- Looking for a Database Expert with experience in PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MariaDB, MySQL, or Oracle. Must have expertise in DB version control (Flyway/Liquibase), performance tuning, root cause analysis, DevOps, CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub), and scripting (Bash/Python/PowerShell).
Desired Candidate Profile
- Experience with automating Database processes.
- Experience in at least 2 of the following database technologies - PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Maria DB, MySQL, Oracle.
- Experience with Database version control with Flyway or Liquibase.
- Experience with Complex connectivity and performance issues that involve database infrastructure.
- Complex database infrastructure installations.
- Database performance tuning
- Perform root cause analysis on database-related issues.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Perform root cause analysis on database-related issues.
- Perform tasks in one of the following scripting languages Bash, PowerShell or Python.
- Ability to Automate; Scripts, Infrastructure, Deploy, Monitor
- Cloud Experience is a Must (AWS or Azure)
- Running automated tests that ensure quality delivery to the end-user
- Awareness of Security Issuefrom the start of Deployment to Sustenance
- Fluency with a scripting or programming language, Python preferred, as well as SQL
- Experience with the operations of cloud databases, orchestration tools and processing engines
- Familiarity with both batch and streaming data operations
- Experience with a data catalog and data governance tool such as Alation
- Familiarity with data quality, data testing or DataOps tools
Education/Specific Knowledge
- Bachelor s or Above Degree in any discipline
