Scrum Master
As a Scrum Master and Team Coach, you will lead, collaborate and partner with multiple engineering teams, technical leads, product leads and business partners to drive successful sprint health and promote adoption of agile and Scrum principles.
Responsibilities
The Scrum Master facilitates and aligns across one or more teams including Product Owners, Stakeholders, other Scrum Masters and Technical Leads to iteratively and incrementally deliver value
Be a servant leader for the aligned teams by fostering an environment that energizes and empowers team members while focusing on accountability, collaboration and high-performance.
Coach the team on the use of agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers.
Ensure the team understands and adheres to Scrum and/or Kanban principles and practices, with an expanded focus into a blend of scaling frameworks as the needs emerge along the adoption and maturity curve.
Propel the team to a high-performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
Resolve team impediments as they arise leveraging other Scrum Masters, leads or product representatives.
Facilitate and support all Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective with an ability to adapt as the organization needs.
Guide and coach team members to become self-organized, self-assess performance and proactively improve, and achieve higher levels of throughput.
Develop and track team and sprint level metrics by preparing reports and dashboards to help the team understand its progress during a sprint, and the performance impacts on roadmap and release progress.
Utilize and correlate data and team metrics to demonstrate team capacity, predictability, and maturity sprint-over-sprint.
Participate in daily Scrum of Scrums / ART Sync sessions with onshore Technical Leads, Delivery Leads and Product representatives to ensure continued daily communication on progress and impediments, with impediments resolved quickly.
Quali cations
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience (i.e. > 5 years of project development experience preferably leading agile teams)
5+ years experience working with multiple agile methodologies (including Scrum and Kanban) on large scale and technically complex transformations.
Experience working with US-based teams.
Proven agile team coaching experience leading teams through an agile adoption and transformation.
Possess a strong technical background enabling an understanding of technical impediments and challenges encountered by engineering teams across all layers of the technical stack.
Advanced facilitation, presentation, influencing and relationship management skills.
Validated agile learning credentials such as CSM, A-CSM, SA, PSM, IC Agile, and/or scaling certifications.
Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Of ce applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and TEAMS.
Exemplify and promote agile values and principles.
Adept at user story writing and re nement, story splitting, various approaches of estimation (including relative estimation techniques), velocity establishment and improvement, and other Scrum techniques.
Experience with the Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Confluence Jira Service Management)
