Team Lead

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering and Maintenance Manager to oversee the mechanical operations and utility maintenance at our plant. This role will ensure optimal performance of plant machinery, coordinate engineering projects, supervise teams, and maintain safety and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage engineering and maintenance activities in the plant, focusing on mechanical and utility operations.
2. Evaluate, develop, and implement engineering projects, prioritizing plant needs and aligning with the Capital Plan.
3. Prepare capital appropriation requests, develop project schedules, coordinate project teams, and manage funds.
4. Recommend and implement modifications or replacements of equipment to enhance plant performance.
5. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate necessary repairs or replacements.
6. Allocate tasks and responsibilities to maintenance team members effectively.
7. Conduct routine checks on machinery and parts to ensure continuous operations.
8. Supervise daily activities of the maintenance team and manage their performance.
9. Oversee and coordinate work with external vendors and contractors.
10. Collaborate with the Purchase team to manage the timely procurement of engineering spares and maintain minimum stock levels.
11. Develop, manage, and control the departments budget.
12. Maintain detailed engineering records, including equipment manuals, diagrams, and inspection reports.
13. Support and promote the 5S methodology to sustain organization and efficiency within the plant.
14. Prepare and present engineering reports as required.
15. Ensure compliance with ISO standards and maintain relevant documentation.
16. Adhere to and promote plant safety protocols and report near-miss incidents to the Safety Officer.

Work Environment:
This role requires on-site presence with day-to-day oversight of the maintenance team and plant operations. Safety adherence and incident reporting are key aspects of the position.
