Data Scientist

Role & responsibilities

• Build ML models for OceanEYE's AI-powered noon reporting system
• Develop algorithms for vessel performance scoring and benchmarking
• Create predictive models for hull efficiency and machinery performance
• Support development of emissions monitoring systems (CII, EU ETS)
• Implement data validation for multi-source maritime data (IoT sensors, AIS, weather data)
• Assist in developing voyage optimization algorithms including weather routing
• Maintain and improve OceanEYE's conversational AI features

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• 1-3 years experience in ML/AI development
• Strong Python skills with ML frameworks
• Experience with time series analysis and IoT data processing
• Knowledge of SQL and data pipeline development
• Understanding of REST APIs and microservices

Familiarity with cloud platforms and container technologies
