Summary:
- The role is the Legal head for the Group in India. The primary focus of this role is legal advisory involving Commercial Contracts, Litigation, Labor matters and IPR Management (including Trademarks, Copyrights, Designs, and Patents.) The role is also CS for the Company, responsible for all company secretarial duties. It's a managerial role (team of 2-3 people), reporting to the CFO.
Qualification - LLB +( CS) Must
- Post qualification relevant experience of 10+ years, with at least ~3 years in a team leadership role
- The ideal candidate would have a mix of experience in legal firms as well as experience in a corporate
- Highly proficient in using MS-Office applications like excel, word and power-point
- Excellent stakeholder management, including senior internal & external stakeholders
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Overall legal leadership and support for protecting the Company in India.
- Representing the company in various courts, tribunals and regulatory bodies
- Contract drafting and review, Litigation, and IPR Management (including Trademarks, Copyrights, Designs, Patents.) Support for labor-related legal matters.
- Application for new IPR / renewal of existing IPRs and building a strategy related to IPR registration requirements; management of Company's IPR - Should be well versed with IPR laws and its procedures.
- Litigation strategy and support, working directly or through legal consultants, for cases pertaining to investigations, and counterfeiting. Disputes and employee matters. Including assistance in arbitrations, IBC, and court actions.
- Compliance with other laws and regulations impacting business. Necessary Compliance related filings for the Company in India.
- Drafting of Affidavits, Power of Attorney, Bonds, Corporate Guarantees, bank guarantees, business agreements and other legal documents.
- Oversee and supervise all company secretarial requirements for the Company - i.e. conducting board meetings, signing of the accounts, maintaining statutory records/register, etc.
