The International Business team was established to build business platform and end to end ecosystem for international insurance programs, that enables insurance brokers and carriers to manage and deliver structured and compliant international and cross-border programs from a single online platform, bringing simplicity and efficiency to our clients and intermediaries through innovative use of data and technology. Customers will experience products and a customer journey that is innovative, consistent, easier to understand and reliable. A strong team is being built to achieve this ambitious technology and data driven business goals.

As a senior-level Application Architect on the team, youll apply your knowledge of modern languages and frameworks, architectural principles and Cloud technologies to design the applications for public cloud. You will help ensure that the applications are secure, scalable, and resilient. Our team works on innovative new applications, utilizing a modern development stack and the latest cloud technologies.

Together with other team members, you will provide architecture, design and hands on coding support and technical guidance to the squads, implement POCs to pave the way, and join them as needed in key refactoring, migration, coding, and troubleshooting responsibilities, especially those requiring senior-level expertise.

You will play a key architectural role across all our development activities, including:

• Application architecture and design.
• Application hosting on compute services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Asynchronous messaging via a message broker such as Azure Service Bus.

• You have a minimum of 12 years of experience in agile software engineering & architecture
• You have 5+ years of Cloud technology experience (Azure experience is preferred)
• Strong in RESTful service development
• Strong Experience working in Sql, NoSql data stores (Mandatory)
• Experience working in JPA/Hibernate or equivalent ORM technology
• Experience working with build tools such as Maven or Gradle, and NPM / Webpack.
• Experience working in continuous integration tools like Bamboo, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps and utilizing quality reporting tools such as SonarQube, Nexus IQ, etc.
• Strong understanding of reusable object-oriented software design patterns, data structures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of ETL and exposure to one or more ETL framework
• Well-experienced in Agile SCRUM methodologies
• Experience working with modern front-end frameworks like Angular or React etc.
• Experience working with a diverse multi-locational team of internal and external professionals
• Exposure with design methodology such as DDD (Domain Driven Design) and hands on working experience with distributed computing system using event sourcing, asynchronous messaging as communication channel is a big plus.
• Experience working with TDD (Test Driven Development).
• Experience working in a Cloud environment such as Cloud Foundry, Azure, or AWS is a big plus
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
