HLE Glascoat Ltd is Hiring Purchase Executive/ Officer for Anand Location.

Role Context: HLE Glascoat Limited is a leading manufacturer of process equipment for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. We are market leaders in Filtration and Drying Equipment and are a leading manufacturer of Glass Lined Equipment globally. We manufacture a wide range of chemical processing equipment in an equally wide range of materials for some of the most demanding applications. Role Location: Anand, Gujarat

Internal Designation: Purchase Officer / Sr Officer

Team Size : Individual contributor

Reporting to: Purchase Sr Manager or Purchase Manager based in Anand, Gujarat

Core Performance Metric: Supplier Delivery, Cost of procurement, Supplier quality, SAP based MIS, ISO 9001,

Non-negotiables:

• BE mechanical : Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in engineering purchase OR

Diploma Mechanical : Minimum 8 to 9 years experience

• Previous experience must be in procurement in engineering industry such as heavy fabrication equipment manufacturing. Automobile industry, Machinery manufacturing industry or similar industry

Role Purpose:

• Be a member in the Purchasing team and being responsible 1) to perform ordering processes based on Purchase requisitions and timely issuance of Purchase Orders to suppliers and get Order Acknowledgement within the expected turn-around time 2) to prepare cost estimations enabling purchase decisions, 3) to ensure products/services availability on time, quantities, quality deliverables from suppliers, 4) to ensure purchase order execution in line with delivery terms & commercial conditions agreed in the purchase order 5) to coordinate with design, quality and production departments to ensure suppliers execute orders to meet the technical requirements of the supplied product / service in line with technical standards as defined by the company Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand material and service requirements and ensure its consistent availability from suppliers
• Collaborate with various functional teams and with internal customers, and effectively communicate order status in a clear and timely manner, including improvement/delays in delivery from suppliers
• Process non-automated purchase requirements, ensuring orders are properly documented and approved, compliant with the Procurement Policy & procedures,
• Create and maintain vendor master record, ensuring they are properly documented and approved in compliance with the Procurement Policy & procedures,
• Generate reports necessary for updating Purchasing dashboard to track and maintain KPIs. Review and prepare presentations for the department based on purchasing data from ERP.
• Implement the proper metrics, SLAs, and measurements to drive and document improvements and provide routine and ad hoc reporting as needed
• To drive results quickly in a fast changing environment ensuring competitive markets best advantages for Company
• Individually lead some projects and initiatives
• Support the full Innovative Purchasing activities involving different purchasing role in the department as defined by department head
• Vendor management to maintain sound working relationships with vendors to ensure responsive service and timely resolution of all issues for receiving the material from suppliers as per manufacturing plan. Vendor conflict resolution in view of achieving production targets.
• Interface with Accounts Payable to ensure a smooth and consistent end-to-end procure to pay process
• Ensure purchase documentation to comply with ISO 9001 purchasing procedures
• Should follow 5S process while executing the work
• Support in audits activities, Supply Chain management and other general topics

Desired skills :

• Degree in Mechanical with at least 4 to 5 years of relevant Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of commercial terms & conditions prevalent in the engineering manufacturing industry
• ISO 9001 Quality System and Inventory Management skill
• ERP functional experience; preferably in SAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential and knowledge of MS Project or prima vera as an added advantage
• Fast learner and adaptable on different site conditions
• Good analytical skill, problem solving & communication skill
• Proactive attitude of solving problems good team spirit are required
• Willing to go extra mile to achieve the procurement targets
• Should exhibit and follow high organizational integrity and ethics.
