BIOS/UEFI Software Engineer - EDK II Platform (5-8 yrs)

A technology services client of ours is looking for multiple BIOS EDK Software Engineer to join them on a Full Time basis. Here are more details about the role,

Role : BIOS EDK Software Engineer

Experience : 5- 8 Years

Location : Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune

Notice Period : Immediate- 30 Days

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain BIOS firmware using EDK II framework.

- Develop and debug device drivers for various hardware components (CPU, chipset, storage, network).

- Optimize BIOS performance and power consumption.

- Develop and execute BIOS validation test cases.

- Analyze system failures and implement corrective actions.

- Collaborate with hardware engineers to resolve hardware-related issues.

- Stay updated with the latest BIOS technologies and industry standards.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 5-8 years of experience in BIOS/UEFI development.

- Strong understanding of x86 architecture and BIOS fundamentals.

- Proficiency in EDK II framework.

- Experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl, or PowerShell.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Familiarity with hardware platforms (servers, workstations, etc.)

- Experience with firmware validation tools and methodologies.

- Understanding of industry standards like UEFI specifications.

Preferred Skills and Experience :

- Experience with cloud-scale hardware platforms.

- Knowledge of ACPI, SMBIOS, and other BIOS specifications.

- Experience with virtualization technologies.

- Familiarity with firmware security features
