Senior Civil Infra Technician - Job Description (India)

The position is open at our India office working with our London, UK based team. We have immediate openings for BIM technician- Civil Infra with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in underground drainage, wet and dry utilities modelling.

As a member of civils team, you will be responsible for carrying out the BIM modelling and developing drawings for mission critical projects. You will be working under the direction of Project Engineer or Team lead.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Diploma or BE/B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering from an institution of repute.
• Should be proficient in modelling wet and dry utilities.
• Proficiency in use Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Principal Duties and Main Activities

• Preparing and self-checking surface models comprehending corridors, strata data, LIDAR survey, cloud point data, topographical survey using Civil 3D.
• Preparing and self-checking level design and modelling using Civil 3D.
• Preparing and self-checking cut & fill analysis using Civil 3D.
• Preparing and self-checking networks using gravity network and pressure network using Civil 3D.
• Preparing and self-checking drawings using AutoCAD.
• Coordination of models and clash detection using Navisworks.
• Undertaking internal and external training when required.
• Compliance with the duties of Designer under the CDM regulations 2015.
• Compliance with the Business Unit protocols.
• Compliance with the project BIM requirements.
• Knowledge of Revit is desirable, but not essential.
• Liaising and reviewing production of information with Engineers and Associate Engineering Technician on a project-by-project basis.
• Assisting the team with the compliance of protocols and standards.
• Ability to work on your own initiatives.
• Ability to organise and prioritise your workload to ensure timescales are met.
• Good problem solver and have contingency planning skills with the ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions.
