Job Description
The Country Lead will play a key role in strategically developing, operationalizingand monitoring Swaniti\ work in Indonesia. The Country lead will work closelywith stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations,and local communities, to develop actionable insights while also being mindfulabout country context and prospective opportunities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Working with senior management tostrategically develop pathways for best supporting government to enable energytransition pathways.
- Collaborate and develop key partnership with subnational and national government departments in areas of support needed by them.
- Iterate and improve on strategic frameworks for how to best engage with subnational governments, national governments, private sector players and civil society partners.
- Support in setting up high level discussions and roundtables to ensure that are important to programs
- Develop reports, papers and additional materials on strategic interventions for Swaniti in Indonesia
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation programs on ground and work on course correction, where needed
- Represent the organization in workshops, meetings, and other platforms, contributing to discussions on energy transition and just transition planning.
Requirements
Qualificationsand Skills :
- Education . Master\ or higher degree in Public Policy, Natural Resource Management, Economics, or a related field to climate and energy transition.
- Experience . At least 7-10 years of experience in climate and energy transition space. Experience of working with governments strongly preferred.
- Communications . Demonstrated experience in writing and verbal skills through previous reports, presentations etc.
- Skills :
- Leadership and management skills in the climate and energy transition space.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage complex multi-stakeholder projects.
- Strong resonance with government and socio-economic and environmental landscape of Indonesia, particularly in relation to the mining and energy sectors, is an advantag
